our story

chapter one: how we met

It began the way the best stories do, unplanned. The first night out of lockdown, we found ourselves seated across from each other at the Morningside Tavern. A few days later, Greta slid into my DMs, the rest is history.

chapter two: falling in love

We fell in love slowly, stalled by lockdown, sneaking out to play cards on top of Mt Eden just to steal some time together. A two-week stay at Greta's parents' turned into three months and eventually we packed up everything and moved across the world to London together. Four years later and we're still here, exploring, having fun, side by side.

chapter three: the next step

In February 2026, high in the mountains of St. Anton (because of course I had to make it a little bit about me), I got down on one knee and, while Greta doesn't remember what I said, she did say yes.

Reach out to Stanton or Greta

Please RSVP by July 19, 2027 so we can finalise our plans. But if you already know you can make it, the sooner the better! (you know what Greta is like with planning)

Formal garden party — colour encouraged, and appropriate shoes for the lawn.

February in Matakana is warm summer weather. If it rains, Songbird has a marquee set up and ready to go.

If your invitation includes a partner, you'll have a link for both of you. Unfortunately, due to limited space, we are only able to invite those guests named on the invite. As much as we adore your little ones, we've decided to make our day an adults-only celebration — we hope this gives you a chance to relax and enjoy the evening with us.

Absolutely — note anything in your RSVP form, or reach out to us directly.

Reach out to Stanton or Greta anytime — we're happy to help with anything.
